Afternoon Teas(ers)
Curated by Cheryl Fontaine

All Play Development Readings take place
Saturdays and Sundays at 1:00pm
Conrad’s Sugar Bowl 10724 124 ST

An essential ingredient to any Nextfest recipe is DEVELOPMENT, and in that spirit
we would like to draw your attention to our weekend afternoon activities.
Since year one Nextfest has showcased play readings.

This year we're happy to present a full afternoon of readings from local high school
playwrights as part of the Enbridge High School Mentorship Program.
These are all works in progress, and it's your opportunity to participate in the
development process. The setting is informal to facilitate artist
exploration and feedback.

It's afternoon, but it's not an afternoon tea. It's an afternoon tease.

The Boy and Girl Next Door
by Stuart Hoye and Nicole Schafenacker

The Trample
by Ava Jane Markus

The young boy with the abnormally large heart never thought hot pink would be his favourite colour. And she didn't know she'd live to see the next day. There's a lot of real bad seeds out there and children aren't pure like they used to be. They can't be saved.
